EAMCET 2011 exam date clashes with B-Math exam 2011 of ISI on May 8th
Both EAMCET and ISI B-Math exam scheduled on May 8...
EAMCET date decided taking into account several factors, EAMCET 2011 this year will clash with the B-Math exam of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore thus denying a chance for a couple of thousands of students to appear for both the examinations. Both the EAMCET and the ISI exam are scheduled on May 8. Officials agree that the clash will force students to choose only one of the two tests but express their helplessness.
EAMCET 2011 date has been decided taking into account several factors like engineering entrance exams of other States, national-level tests like AIEEE, IIT-JEE apart from medical tests of national institutes as well as of other States. Now can't change the date as any other date will have logistical problems. Only a few hundreds of students from the A.P State appear for the ISI B-Math exam, which is a highly specialized course. At the same time, more than three lakh students appear for EAMCET and making arrangements for such large number of people would be a major issue if postponed. Moreover, the EAMCET has to be conducted on a Sunday only due to logistic issues and also to ensure that students don't get caught in traffic.
There are directions on this from the State authorities as EAMCET authorities don't allow entry even if candidates are late by a minute. Unfortunately, the ISI B-Math exam can't be re-scheduled as it is a national-level test and every year it is held on second Sunday of May.
