Tri-Valley University issue, YSR not read two papers only, What about present Chief Minister?
Minister for Overseas Affairs portfolio monitoring C.M, But he was so busy in Self projection....
The A.P State government seems to be least bothered about the fate of the 500 students from the own state who were duped by the Tri-Valley University in Pleasanton, US. The situation, in fact, might be more serious than earlier thought as a number of students have been detained and are being interrogated by US Federal authorities as part of their investigation against the University.
Worried parents expressed their anger at the A.P state government for not coming to their aid despite the news breaking out on January 25. Some Parents made several attempts to meet the minister heading Overseas Affairs in the state, none of the officials in the Secretariat are in a position to say who the minister for Overseas Affairs is. Before cabinet, it was headed by Mr Sridhar Babu. Now the portfolio had not been allotted to anyone and the C.M, himself was monitoring it. But the C.M is not in the city due to the ongoing Rachchabanda programme. Parents are confused about whom to approach. Some parents of students, even called up the office of the Union ministry of external affairs for help. They told us that none of the affected students had approached the Indian Consulate in the US for help so far and they will take up the issue with the US government after it got the report from the Indian Consulate.
Some parents are more worried as they have lost contact with their children. Parents said that the university had duped them after collecting Rs 6 lakh as fees by deputing several brokers in the city to make admissions with false claims.(Deccan)
